1. LG Accelerates Community-based Charitable Activities in the MEA Region
Boasting diverse emerging markets and great growth potential, the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region is an important market for LG. LG West Africa recently donated LG Dualcool air conditioners to a general hospital in Lagos, Nigeria’s coastal megacity. Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, the company recently launched its eco-friendly campaign ‘Yalla Green’ - Arabic for ‘Let’s Go Together’ - with its energy-efficiency air solution products that score the highest seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) grade. LG has regional production bases in Saudi Arabia and Egypt so it can swiftly respond to market demand.

2. Massachusetts Announces Creation of Massachusetts Community Climate Bank
This so-called green bank is designed to maximize building sector investment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a focus on affordable housing. It will start operations with US$ 50 million in funds from the state’s Department of Environmental Protection. By utilizing the timeline under which affordable housing is periodically refinanced, the Climate Bank aims to finance heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, high-efficiency appliances and other efficiency upgrades as well as solar panel installations.

3. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioning Europe (MHIAE) Earns 2023 Company of the Year Award
MHIAE received high marks in two main respects: First, providing low-carbon solutions to support Europe's ongoing shift towards secure and sustainable heating, with a lineup of heat pumps, especially its Q-ton commercial heat pumps; Second, addressing unmet needs of heat pumps in the market with a strong leadership focus through reacting to local preferences and specific customer needs. Q-ton is a heat pump water heater (HPWH) with a rated capacity of 30 kW, which supplies hot water at 90 deg C even when the outdoor temperature is -25 deg C.

4. LU-VE Group Expands in China and the United States
LU-VE has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Tianmen Prefecture, Hubei Province, China for the expansion of the LU-VE Tianmen production plant, the area of which will expand from the current 19,000 m² to a total area of over 43,000 m². In the United States, headquartered in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas, LUVE Group has planned an expansion of the factory aimed at adding additional space for the installation of new production lines for the production of products including condensers, gas coolers and dry coolers.

5. TCL Data Center AC Assists Construction of Indonesia High-speed Railway
TCL’s ultra-high efficiency data center air conditioners are being installed and commissioned for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project in Indonesia, preparing the high-speed railway to begin operation in August this year. The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is located on Java Island in Indonesia, under a tropical rainforest climate. This hot and humid climate provides a severe test of the stability and highly efficient operation of data center air conditioners.
